In March, I inquired about installation of new pump, filter, salt generator and heater (about $12k of parts/labor total) and was told that they don't have enough staff to come out, take a look and give me an accurate estimate (I live 5 minutes away). After promising a follow up, they never got back to me, so I called them again in April...same response. After getting several quotes from nearby businesses within a few days, I eventually went with another company. Them ignoring a $12k project was a bit surprising, but their loss, not mine.Went to get water tested recently and was greeted with a sign saying, "NOTICE: If you purchased your chemicals from BJs, COSTCO, SAM'S Club, Etc. Please have your water tested there. Let's not waste my time or yours." I don't buy my chemicals from these outlets (all of my chemicals have been purchased at Gene Lilly to date), but I was put off by this extremely petty and immature notice. People shop in different places for different reasons and are on different budgets. Gene Lilly is definitely more pricey and that's okay...for those willing/able to pay more. Pathetic (and useless) approach to try bully customers into purchasing premium-priced chemicals from your location. What kind of customer-facing business does something like that?!There are plenty of places along Ritchie Hwy to buy pool chemicals (some which are open Sundays too, imagine that) and I've already found a better company to do the physical work since they never responded to me. Gene Lilly needs a Customer Service 101 course ASAP.

It is very unfortunate that a company in Pasadena states that Brookly Park is out of their service area.
